Finding Purpose with Plan A

Prior to June 26th, 2017, I was looking for a purpose in my life. I had no idea how I was going to achieve that feeling of purpose or even a clue what that purpose was…until one of my good friends approached me (several times) to bring me on board with her company. Having very little idea of the industry or what the company truly did, I agreed anyways. It was a decision I am extremely happy about.

Fast forward to today as I write this: I am fourteen months into this new career and I am a very proud to advertise that I am an employee of Plan A Sudbury. Plan A is a supplemental staffing solution for Long Term Care homes across Ontario. As a recruiter, we are continuously looking to hire the best of the best PSWs, RPNs, RNs and nursing students. Our staff (also known as The A Team) help by working alongside the dedicated staff at LTC homes in our community to provide the care and respect that our vulnerable sector longs for and deserve. I have the best job ever! I get to meet with amazing and talented individuals from all walks of life. These people are filled with hearts of gold, patience, and are very dedicated workers. Caring for seniors is their top priority. They are our front-line workers that care for your mother, father, aunt or uncle, sister or brother, or your friend.

I have never felt so fulfilled in what I do daily. In the months working up to today, I have grown to be and have never felt so very humble. I have a purpose in life –  a very important purpose now. My purpose is handpicking the right fit of health care professionals to care for your loved ones in Long Term Care at the time they need it the most. I am proud of every single member on The A Team, and I am proud to be a part of bringing this solution to Long Term Care.
