One of my favourite questions to ask the applicants that I meet with is, “If you could share one thing with someone interested in your field, what would it be?”. For those of you who don’t know, I have zero nursing background and I’ve always thought that nurses and personal support workers must be superheroes to be able to do the things they do every day, so I love having the chance to hear their take on what it’s like to be in the field. With the school year coming to a close in the next couple of months, I thought this post might be helpful for high school students who aren’t quite sure what they’d like to study, or for those who are perhaps looking to make a career change.
