1. What do you feel is unique about Plan A?

I feel the overall atmosphere is unique with Plan A. The way you get to choose your own schedule and the flexibility of shifts adds to Plan A’s uniqueness. There isn’t any pressure to pick up shifts and no phones constantly ringing to see if you’re able to come into work. You can simply open an app and see the shifts available that work with your schedule. Plan A offers an ease of access with picking up shifts.

2. What is the most rewarding part about being a PSW for Plan A?

The most rewarding part about being a PSW for Plan A is helping homes that are in need. We are making a difference in the residents lives by picking up shifts. Working short staffed means that resident care is compromised in some way. By picking up one or two shifts we are contributing to the health a wellness of residents.

3. What were you most happy about attending because you were able to create your own schedule?

I was really happy that I was able to attend my family Christmas because I didn’t have to “book it off” I was able to choose my schedule around the holidays without having to worry about being scheduled for a shift.

4. What have you invested in with the extra money you have made with Plan A?

I’ve purchased a car with the extra money I’ve made with Plan A. By picking up 3 shifts a week I was able to save up enough money to do that.

5. Tell us about your story, what made you want to pursue a career in health care?

I decided to pursue a career in healthcare because I want to help people and make a difference in the world. I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for the elderly and believe they are people who should be treated with the highest respect for the lives that they’ve lived. They’re people who have loved, lost and lived greatly before they’ve become who they are now and even in their old age deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.
